    1. Hi there I have been suffering from the same thing for 2 years and I am finally coming to the end of solving this problem ! It's called disecting scalp cellulitis !! I have been on a number of different medications it's really what works for you ! Some of these include apo-mimocycline , apo-clindamycin , aap-tetra now that now of those have worked for me I'm gonna be trying one last one before I am prescribed the big gun! I will be taking doxycycline and if withing two months no change .. Acutaine !!! Apparently it will get rid of it only leaving what's scared left ! However it has crazy side effect !! I hope this info helps and if there is any info you can share with me please do so ! Thanks

  2. Try a combination of clindamycin and rifampicin both together, a long course, I say again long course took me a year but I’ve managed to keep it under control and now. My immune system fights it on its own. (Immune system) seems to be the key, so staying healthy really important. good luck hope this helps.

  3. Hey Howie,

I'm 27 amnd have the same thing you had only the bumps are a little more spread out. I'm pretty sure it's a gene disorder in my case tho, my half brother has exzema. Both are hair follicle problems with sebum glands producing too much or too less clogging pores in are case and causing infection's over time due to stretched skin inflamation and boils/carbuncles popping letting in bacteria. Thus making it worse..
My head was itchy from time to time when I was a kid and when I was around 17 I started getting this sore bump on the top of my head, it would go away after a few weeks then re-appear a fews months later ovber and over again until i was about 22.. then it stayed and slowly got worse.
I'm heading in the direction you were in, I've been fighting the boils for some time now with meds letting my head soak so i can "pressure squeeze" my head to relieve the stressed skin. Honestly I'm thinking about starting to use a shop vac once my head is "soaked" to drain the carbuncle's. there always some kinda of lump left in them, I believe the lumps left over under the skin are blood clots not scar tissue as I have popped a few of the smaller boils and found globs of jello like sac's. Did you have similar results?
